SERVICES

I – DISTRIBUTION OF PALAY SEEDS – Agri-Pinoy RICE

The distribution of rice, corn and vegetable seeds to the farmers is a regular program jointly implemented by the Department of Agriculture (DA) and the (LGU) Local Government Unit of Ocampo, Camarines Sur for an end goal of sustaining the level and/or increasing the volume of agricultural production in crops sector.

REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants must be in the master list of  rice farmers of the municipality.

HOW TO AVAIL OF THE SERVICE:
Steps:

1. Request palay seeds with certification from the barangay council.

2. Issue acknowledgement receipt to farmers.(5 mins.)

3.Release palay seed. (30 mins)

4.Monitor/Farm Visits.

Steps:

2. Release Corn Seeds. ( 30 minutes)

III. DISTRIBUTION OF VEGETABLE SEEDS (HVCC)

IV – TECHNOLOGY TRAINING ON RICE PROGRAM:

This technology training is conducted on a season-long training of farmers on fields’ school for a maximum of 16 weeks, four hours/week from seeds to seeds.

  1. INTEGRATED PEST MANAGEMENT (IPM) ON FARMERS FIELD SCHOOL (FFS)- aim to make IPM the standard approach to crop husbandry and pest management in major rice, corn and vegetable areas in the Municipality as an ECOLOGICAL APPROACH, it promotes sustainability by helping famers apply, IMP principles in crop production while learning to optimize the use of resources through the management of the AGRO-Ecosystem, analysis and action revolve around three basic principle (1) Growing a healthy crop through the use of resistant varieties, efficient nutrients, water, soil and weed management; (2) Conserving beneficial predators and parasites and (3) Observing field regularly to determine management action necessary to produce a profitable crop and as a HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM, to assist farmers in developing their ability of making critical and informed decisions that render their farming system more productive, profitable, and sustainable.
    2. PALAY CHECK – is a more holistic, integrated & objective approach to rice production. It combines the technology & the learning process to ensure understanding & sustainable adoption. It is important that a target view is set, weaknesses of current production practices are identified & the best practices for the specific area are applied.
    3. LOCATION SPECIFIC TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENT (LSTD) – is the latest best practices on farm management for rice which aim to strengthen the national capacity on the use of rice integrated crop management. To ensure what variety is adaptable to a certain locality and high yield technology adaption (HYTA) Program/Community Seed – Banking (CSB) and utilizing of high quality hybrid and inbred rice seeds along with some other yield enhancing inputs are integral of the technology packaged being advanced by the project to raise farm level productivity.

V. GMA LIVESTOCK TECHNICAL CONSULTATION & SURVEY OF POULTRY AND LIVESTOCK IN THE MUNICIPALITY

Monitoring of livestock and poultry for negative in FMD (foot & mouth disease), bird’s flu and other diseases.
Monitored rabies prevention to ensure rabies free municipality.

HOW TO AVAIL OF THE SERVICE:
Steps:

1. Technical consultation. ( 5 – 10 minutes)
2. House to house visit. ( As needed arises)
3. Farmers meeting. ( 4 hours)
4. Swine and livestock supervision.( On going)
5. FMD and rabies monitoring. ( Once a week)
6. Animal health/diseases monitoring. ( Once a week)
7. FMD rabies prevention and control.( As need arises)

VI – ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATION TO FARMERS:
The issuance of certificate to farmers is the program of the NFA.

HOW TO AVAIL OF THE SERVICE
Steps:

1.  Request certification for NFA purpose/availing credit assistance to lending inst. Advise the client to pay the required fee at MTO. ( 10 minutes)
2. Pay the required fee at MTO.
3. Receives cash payment an issue Official Receipt. ( 5 minutes)
4. Submit the Official Receipt to the in-charge Agricultural Technologist. Prepare and signs the certificate. (10 mins)
5.  Release the certificate. ( 3 minutes)
